Over two days at Wake Forest University Pulitzer Center grantees, journalist Brian Castner and documentary photographer Cheryl Hatch, speak to the broader community and the ROTC senior class of cadets about the efforts of the U.S. military and local community to contain the Ebola epidemic in Liberia. The conversation with the ROTC seniors occurs on Thursday, March 26, and Castner will also speak with them about his own military background, training, career and the role of the military in Africa.
The Wake Forest University events are part of a weeklong visit to Campus Consortium partner schools in the Triad, including High Point University and Guilford College.
In addition to their work with the Pulitzer Center, Castner is the author of "The Long Walk" and a former explosive ordnance disposal officer in the U.S. Air Force while Hatch is a visiting professor at Allegheny College and a documentary photographer.
