Pulitzer Center grantee Eli Kintisch traveled to the Arctic to investigate the consequences of rapid warming that is eating away at the polar ice, endangering some species as it favors others, and transforming global weather patterns. The outcome of his time in the region: a three-part Pulitzer Center-supported series for Vox.
On Monday, August 6, 2018, at Busboys and Poets in Washington, DC, Kintisch joins with journalist Mike Lucibella, who has reported on Antarctica, to share their adventures and discoveries. Together, they will tell the stories from both the North and South Poles to give their audience a personal view into the story of our planet.
The free public event is part of DC Science Café, now in its eighth year, with support from DC Science Writers Association and encouragement from Busboys and Poets.
