Central Africans Weigh in on Elections and Peace

Politics are complex and high-stakes in the Central African Republic, as they are most anywhere. In this audio essay, I try to look at what boring-sounding words and phrases - "elections," "disarmament and demobilization" - mean in a country like the CAR.

I also wanted to highlight the voices of Central Africans, from the capital and the countryside. One important measure of peace, probably, is whether ordinary people feel like they have it.
