Combating Violence Against Women in Bolivia

More than half of Bolivian women aged 15 to 49 have experienced intimate partner violence, according to a recent report that analyses data from 12 countries over 12 years, making it the most violent of the Latin American and Caribbean nations surveyed. Now the Bolivian government is beginning to implement reforms under a new law designed to protect women, prevent violence and punish attackers.
