The Darien Gap is a wild and dangerous expanse of jungle stretching between Panama and Columbia. It's now increasingly being used as a path for migrants hoping to make their way to America.

Pulitzer Center grantee Jason Motlagh joined a group of migrants as they attempted to cross the dangerous gap. He discusses the project in this interview with Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Hamish McDonald.
