In a new twist on the immigration and asylum debate, a new report in the Desert Sun sheds light on the use of social media by criminal organizations to threaten people, even after they've fled for the U.S. In one case, a woman in Oregon was extorted over Facebook Messenger after her brother went missing in the Mexico state of Guerrero.
