Ning Hui

Ning (Lulu) Hui is a senior international news journalist for Initium Media, an award-winning Chinese media corporation headquartered in Hong Kong. She is from China and is currently based in Brussels, Belgium. She focuses on China’s various connections with today’s world outside China, with special attention to politics, economy, and the environment. She has reported from 20 different countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, and America. Her work also appears in The Guardian, Foreign Policy, China Dialogue, and Quartz in English; as well as Caixin, Qdaily, Rhythms Monthly, and Esquire in Chinese. Before becoming a journalist, she worked in the NGO sector in China.
