Changing the Climate Debate

Determination, optimism and a commitment to reframe the public conversation. That was the theme as climate change and public health researchers, policymakers, and journalists gathered for "Changing the Climate: How Public Health, Cities, and the Media Can Advance Climate Solutions," the April 20 symposium organized by Boston University’s School of Public Health and co-hosted by the Pulitzer Center. Among the leaders who contributed to the discussion about the correlations between public health and the climate crisis were former EPA administrator Gina McCarthy; North American Director of C40 Cities, David Miller; Pulitzer Center executive director Jon Sawyer; New York Times climate editor Hannah Fairfield, and Boston University School of Public Health Dean Sandro Galea.
