Emma Mitnick

Emma Mitnick is a rising senior at the University of Chicago, pursuing a double major in Anthropology, with a focus on Medical Anthropology, and Political Science. Exploring the intersection between political journalism and public health, Emma has written stories on comprehensive sex-education initiatives in Chicago, conducted research on population policy-specifically China’s one child policy, and interned at NYU’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute where she researched racial biases in environmental policy. As a previous CBS News Political Unit Intern, Emma covered the Iowa Caucus, with an emphasis on the Democratic Party’s healthcare policy.
