James Finn

James Finn is entering his final semester at Middlebury College, where he is finishing a History degree with a minor in Spanish. He served last year as managing editor of the student newspaper, the Middlebury Campus. During the summer of 2018, he worked as a reporter for the Vermont-based Addison County Independent, writing news and feature stories on local politics, community businesses, and environmental issues for the twice-weekly publication that covers Addison County’s 23 towns. Originally from Mill Valley, California, James has also traveled and worked in Central America. After he graduates in February, he hopes to work as a professional journalist in the South or another part of the country where local news is most needed.
