Taro Shirakawa is a senior at the College of William & Mary, class of 2019, majoring in Philosophy and International Relations. On campus, he works as a Sadler AV tech and serves as the President of Japanese Culture Association and a member and a co-pledge educator of the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta. He is also currently writing a Philosophy honors thesis on an individual responsibility in relation to structural injustice. He believes that people can make a more just society where they can pursue their happiness by cultivating more empathy and higher ethical standards. He is exploring methods of creating such a future through policy, entrepreneurship, and education.
