BBC World features Pulitzer-Helium contest

After winning the Pulitzer Center's March 2008 Global Issues / Citizen Voices contest on Helium.com, Loyce Kareri appeared on BBC World news alongside Pulitzer Center Director Jon Sawyer to speak about the contest, her essay and what the future holds for citizen journalism.

Loretta Tofani Wins IRE Gold Medal

Loretta Tofani's "American Imports, Chinese Deaths" series was awarded the 2007 Investigative Reporters and Editors' Gold Medal for medium sized newspapers.

Pulitzer Center to participate at American Health Journalists Association conference

Pulitzer Center Director of Development Ann Peters and Christie Aschwanden, independent journalist and Pulitzer Center grantee, will serve as panelists at the American Health Journalists Association's upcoming annual conference. Ann and Christie will join others from the field in the session titled "Bringing home the globe: Pitching and covering international health stories" as they address the process of discovering and reporting global health news that connects back to local communities.
